Should I be worrying about her past?

Hi, I have a seven year old cavalier king charles called Kaytee, I have had her 5 years now and she has been through so much, She has various problems but the reason I am posting this as I am concerned about her, Amongst the problems she has kaytee has irritable bowel diease and she finds it hard to keep food down as her body sees it as bad food and makes her sick or have dirroeah, (SORRY I CAN'T SPELL)
This is ok now as She is on Steroids and a vet perscribed food, (waltham sensitivity control)
But I was thinking I got kaytee from a breeder, I rescued her when the breeder couldnt use her as she lost two litters [&o]
The breeder keeps all her dogs (about 30) In a conservotry and I feel she couldnt possible moniter each one, If there was sick on the floor there would be no way she could know which dog did it.
As the breeder was unaware of Kaytee's problems do you think that for 3 years of her life she was hardly eating and being sick all the time?
She was so thin when i got her and I cant help but think the reason she didn't manage to have puppies was as she could never really keep her food down [:o]
I worry now, What kind of state must her body be inside?
Am I worrying about nothing as she seems perfectly healthy now?
But I love her so much and wanted advice THANKS xxx

I would worry about keeping a dog on steroids long term.

Long-term use of steroids (including prednisone) can cause liver and kidney problems, increased thirst and urination, increased appetite, panting, increased chance of pancreatitis, thinning of hair coat, and continued immune suppression. The following website link contains information on tapering off of steroids for IBD patients and side effects: [linkhttp://homepage.mac.com/sholland/Papers/Steroid.html]http://homepage.mac.com/sholland/Papers/Steroid.html[/link]

There is a Yahoo group on IBD:
