I know you are right about a lot of rumors and misinformation being spread. Same with e-mails. BUT at the same time i think a lot of good comes out of the net because people can learn things they would not otherwise know. Had i known how to use a computer and had i done research, i would have found that proHeart6 was killing dogs all over the country, causing severe reactions in thousands, causing hundreds, if not thousands to be on drugs the rest of their life, I would still have Hunter because I WOULD HAVE
NEVER allowed that stuff to be injected into his body. Now i research anything prescribed to me dogs. Anything new comes out i want to know all about it including the risks.
The makers of Proheart6 was jumping around the net saying it was all hype, all hysteria, etc, rumors, grieving dog owners trying to blame their product. Meanwhile and more and m ore whose dog/dogs died of the first time siezures, sudden gastric bleeding, AIHA in 3-6 weeks after injections, people whose vets said it was the PH6 were telling their stories. People learned who to report to the FDA and reports compiled and paterns were seen. Many, if not most, of us sent our dogs complete medical history to the FDA. People like me who lost Hunter, Jean who lost Tasha and Niki and almmost lost Casey, Janice who lost Trouble, Myra who lost Duker, Sue who lost Bandit, the one who lost Precious and almost lost Jamie Lyn, the one who lost Cheif, and the list goes on and on did tell our stroies and many people have told us we quite possibily saved their dogs as they either got them off the PH6 and decided against using it. And ten months after Hunter's death the FDA had the maker pull it because of so many deaths and reactions and to this day, dogs that have been on meds for reaction are still dying.
And then of course you get the swiffer mop rumor, the plug in air refreshner rumor, etc. I know it is sometimes hard to believe and what not to believe. I just learned the very hard way to research, to never totally dismiss something until proven one way or the other, and to never totally believe something until proven one way or the other. When a product is reported as dangerous but it is the same repeated story everywhere, i tend to doubt a little. But when there are new stories about reactions/deaths, etc coming up, and I am talking hundreds, not one or two, I tend to take it seriously.
