I know! It's scary now because it's like if Purina & Iams foods are bad what is good for your dogs & cats

I thought it was only Purina MIGHTY DOG that Purina is recalling.

Renal failure. This was copied from their website:
Henderson said the company received an undisclosed number of owner
complaints of vomiting and kidney failure in dogs and cats after they
had been fed its products.

I find it interesting that Iams/Eukanuba has products involved in this recall but they are never listed in the massive lists circulating.  The products WERE made by this manufacturer.  Do they not want to be associated with all these "store" brands or what?  It only serves to add to the confusion when people check the list and find their food not on it, yet it IS being recalled as well.

I find it more than interesting.
It seem to me that if the Menu company is recalling any of their food, ALL of the brands that are in doubt SHOULD BE LISTED!
Gee whiz,,,, a person reading that list to see it their pet food is on it..should be able to see ALL of the food involved.

As does TWO right?  It was the corn in the diamond plant that was the problem correct?

I can't find anywhere that Iams/Eukanuba is actually involved, does anyone have any additional info on this?

There is a HUGE list of Ol Roy foods as well (and I believe it included the cans as well) but when I was at wally worldl, the associate said it was only the pouches and they had already pulled them. There were customers buying the cans and when I said something about the recall to the customers, they started putting them back and the associate said "It's ONLY the pouches, the cans AREN'T on the list".

It really ticked me off!

Bummer, my next door neighbor feeds those iams packets to his cat, he's old and won't eat much else.  I guess I'll tell him they were included in the recall :(

I was in petsmart first thing this morning and every aisle has a note up on it telling customers which products that were recalled in the store and offered suggestions for other products to use until this is resolved.  I was happy with how they had handled it under such difficult circumstances.

Wow, I think my mom just about had a heart attack.  I recently bought a bag of natural balance for my brother's dog but he was on one of the brands on that list.  She is so freaked out she will be buying super premium for now on ha ha ha.  I guess we have a convert.

? I don't see Natural Balance on the list.

Royal Canin recalls some lines of pet food
...The Royal Canin diets that were causing hypercalcemia in dogs and cats had too much vitamin D added to them. The kidney is the organ most sensitive to increases in blood calcium levels, and signs of hypercalcemia in dogs and cats include increased water consumption and urination, vomiting, diarrhea, and depression. If untreated, hypercalcemia can lead to kidney failure and death....
