I have a friend who had a good and bad experience with it. Good, her dogs loved it and it was very easy and convenient. Bad, it was outrageously expensive then (has the price gone down?) and one of her dogs had a serious, earthshattering blowout on it that kept her in the laundromat for days (she lived in a studio apartment and her dogs slept loose on the bed with her).
My dogs all have iron stomachs so I'm not worried about the blowout effect. I'd like to explore it as a possible traveling alternative to the dehydrated patties and canned I use now. The patties seem so, "meh" - and I like the idea of rehydrating the food to ensure water consumption on the road.
There's just no way I could afford to feed them all this way, however. It would cost $10 a day! And sadly they don't make a chicken free dog OR cat diet. Poor Ben, always left out. [anybody got a violin-playing smiley?]
