UB, I just wanted to put my nose to the screen and smell that breath on that beautiful puppy!!!  I reckon that is the Mom and she is a beauty also.  My sister has a beagle, about 11 or 12 I guess, named Jazz.  They are such cute dogs, and can be so funny.

Yup, thats mom with her baby! The thing I love about that pic is that it seems she's looking at her pupper with adoration, but she's actually staring down that stuffed goose, rofl!!! Two seconds after I snapped that photo, she "caught" it by the neck & had her way with it [sm=lol.gif] Her poor baby was left stranded on the bed, wodnerinf where his momma & toy had gone, lol ...

[:D]  LOL, that is not a goose, it is a mallard duck!  ERRR, we are duck hunters and when we hunted lakes, mallards was a favorite.  They rarely make it to salt water, so now Pintails are a favorite, tho only allowed one per day.

But that is an adorable picture.  I just can't resist puppies, no matter the breed  ( I have only ever had English Setters, Pointers, Irish  Setter, and Golden retriever puppies.)Hubby use to joke i should have had a litter of puppies.  problem is they grow up to fast.

I can't stand it when people say "well the food is working, so why change?"  how can you possibly know it is working? because the dog isn't puking everywhere? Because the dog isn't dead?
The only test of whether your food "worked" is if your dog makes it to a healthy old age.

Hmm, I don't know about that.  I just went to the 95th birthday party of a woman who has smoked cigarettes the majority of her life.

I think dogs can live to a ripe old age on a poor quality food, but they are not necesarily thriving.  I had to have a chuckle at a TV commercial I just saw for Purina stating that by feeding Purina, you will add on average 2 years to your dogs life.  I really want to know the study that was done that enable them to come to this conclusion, and what the control group was! [8|]  I find it amazing that any company would make just an outlandish claim, premium or non premium.

The Purina study shows that if your dog is fed to an ideal body condition score,  it can live almost 2 years longer.  They're actually encourage owners to feed less, nothing sinister there.
