Eagle Pack is the only food trial tested on large breeds.
I have a Great Dane and that is what I feed her, my son feeds his Dane Eagle also.  Its good food, has everything the large breed needs and they like it. It is also affordable.
 
There is a K-9 nutritionist that has raised several generaltions of Danes...she has studied food and vitamins for the large breeds and has branched out to all breeds. She has a list of food she recommends and gives her criteria as to how she picks this food. Here is the link:

I feed my dog Eagle but add cooked meat on top, not because she won't eat her food without, just because I feel I am adding something that is good for her. I cook the meat and ad veggies,,sometimes baby food veggies to it. I also give her yogurt every meal and an egg in the AM.
I know a lot of people feed raw, I don't. I'm not comfortable with any of it.

Dyan's correct about Eaglepack-- the large/giant breed puppy food. All other large breed puppy foods have sort of been copying it. Bottom line you want to keep your puppy skinny and make sure he doesn't eat too much calcium.
