    A Poster Deleting Her Posts

If you are going to either start a thread or post on another thread that someone else began, at least be prepared to stand behind what you say.

If you are going to DELETE every thing you say, Dont' even bother posting.

Why did you even bother posting this? Just ignore it!  It seems like you are trying to get everybody to start ratting out on somebody else, which is just as bad as what that person does in the first place..
    • Gold Top Dog
Because it's terribly annoying and I'm very hormonal!

She's now on my ignore list.
    • Gold Top Dog
She's probably posting it because it is annoying.

First thought that comes to my mind when I see something was deleted is that the poster knew it would be an issue with whatever they said OR that after re-reading it felt is was made in the wrong context. The later I would think wopuld only be "edited"

So my answer for those who do delete their posts(which was done often on the other format as well) just because it's gone doesn't mean it wasn't said/posted. With notifications those involved in the trhead still get the message as well as the moderators/admin so delete all you wish, the words were said and if they are abusive or rude we will be talking

Would this be a good place to ask (computer idiot that I am) just HOW do you go about deleting/editing a post??? I've never found that option so I've just had to be very careful before I hit the *submit* button. [:D]

Hey, you are no more computer dummy than me.  But i did find how to edit--you just go up to the  right side after you post  and will see little buttons that say edit, quote, etc.  just click on edit, your post will come up and you can change things.  That is the only way I know to do it.  I have trouble trying to get a quote added to my next post.  Sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doens't.  if there is another way to edit, I have not found it.

There is always the "block" option [sm=biggrin.gif]

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to delete posts.  Of course, I didn't even know how to quote correctly on the old format either. lol

The quote function is far from user-friendly!

The easiest way to quote (for me anyway) is to highlight what you want to quote, right click on your mouse and hit "copy".  Go to "post reply" like you would any other time and it'll pop up with the quote at the start of the post.  Easy as pie [:)]

AAAHHH!! Thank you  thank you thank you!!! I have tried so many time to do that... finally!

Yeah, it would be nice to be able to just delete a post that no one has to see that you even wrote one to begin with.
I edit mine a lot, because I'm too antsy to proof read my posts...then when I see it posted I see errors...maybe spelling etc etc, and go back and correct them. But yesterday I went to post an answer to a question,  started to write something, and sent it, realized an error and went to edit it and then just decided this whole thing was not worth posting on.     I wished that I hadn't. So I am guilty of doing it once.

I have a bad habit of pressing send twice,i'm always deleting posts, mainly because they are double posts, and i usually write that in,next to "deleted".  9 out of 10 posts i write i end up editing, because of spelling errors or missed words.I'm editing this right now as i had a heap of spelling errors in it,i'm too lazy/impatient to go to preview.I wanna post NOW,LOL!

I would rather see a "deleted" post than a venemous one, wouldnt you shamrockmommy?.I think it was a nice gesture of Sharon to delete her not so nice ones, perhaps she has had a change of heart and has realised how some of the things she said has come accross???I think it would have taken alot of guts and pride swallowing to delete them.

Not two days later after everyone read them. Although it is refreshing to think that she herself might see how she comes off at times,,,but in this case she 1. added more questionable posts AFTER that one and 2. deleted the bad one AFTER people remarked.   Not positive how much guts that took!
