    Natural Balance??

Theese problems with TWO continue, Im gonna have to switch to another dog food. THIS STINKS!!!!! I had such a hard time getting them all to be "ok" on what they all ate. If they can't return a phone call or an e-mail, are they paying attention to whats going into their food? It leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth[&:] I'm wondering about Natural Balance, weve never tried that  one ( probably the only one) I  like that it's all life stages, especially if the puppie is comming[sm=clapping%20hands%20smiley.gif]and that they have a formula that doesn't have chicken or turkey. Have any of you had good/bad luck with it? Thanks in advance.

I have used the sweet tater and duck (I think) for my allergic cocker and she did great on it.  As I recall, their foods are pricey, but if they work, it's worth the $$.

We tried TWO because of all the hoopla over it and I wasn't at all impressed with the "output".  But, we only tried one bag so I'm not sure how the crew would have done on it long term.......

I just posted something in the "OOOPS,..." T.O. thread.

I wanted to know of another grain-free food BESIDES Nature's Variety and Innova Evo.
I like T.O.'s grain-frees because the protein isn't in the 40%s. I especially like Ocean Blue because it's grain-free and the protein is only 26%.
As I'm most likely leaving Chicago tomorrow with a foster, I am searching for a decent grain-free food that I can purchase for my foster, IF I decide to not get him on T.O.

we've had very good luck with nat bal potatoe and duck.  Haven't tried the regular one due to the lamb which our big guy doesn't tolerate.  Once we made the mistake of feeding Kirkland Lamb and oh what a mess!

Natural Balance makes a Sweet Potato and Fish  which my dog loves.  Her coat shines and she just looks great.  She will eat the Kibble dry and lick the bowl clean every time.

the protein is too low for my liking.

I plan on putting my foster on a raw diet, but I wanted to stick to kibble which he'll be used to, before just jumping him into raw, you know?
I'm just afraid with him being in a new home that it might affect his appetite. It did for Ella.

Boxermom- we tried NB here and something in it JJ had serious allergic reactions to BUT also the killer for us was the gas... worst I have EVER smelled in a grey and that is saying a lot.  [:'(]

Maybe it is just greyhounds though because all the grey owners I know who have tried it have not been happy with the poop or gas...but I know lots of i-doggers like it.

It might be worth a try though...for us TO is the only one that has worked all the way around  I hate the company but will continue to feed since 8 other super premium brands that I have tried before TO have not been a good choice for our guys.

    Good luck!![8D]

TO's formulas look very good but when I heard about this I wonder how much they really know about what they're doing;  [linkhttp://forum.dog.com/asp/tm.asp?m=211083&mpage=1&key=mark𳣡]http://forum.dog.com/asp/tm.asp?m=211083&mpage=1&key=mark𳣡[/link]

Yesterday I received an email to my dogfoodproject.com inbox from someone who asked me about the kcal content per cup of TWO foods, stating that several inquiries to TWO on the topic were unsucessful, and that finally the person was directed to my website to ask me.

Of course I wanted to find out what this is all about and asked the person who emailed me what exactly was going on. The answer was that customer service directed them to me, claiming they were instructed to do that to anyone inquiring about this topic, that I was more accurate at giving the correct amount than they were, and it was difficult for them to calculate it, and that I was doing this for many other companies also. This reader also said Mark Heyward (the owner of TWO) gave them a hard time about this question.

I just don't get it. This is the second time recently that a reply from TWO customer service really gave me a "WTF" moment... "

I had really good luck with the venison NB for my lab.  He did awesome on it.  It is quite pricey though.

I'm feeding EP now - but I would definitely recommend NB.

I feed NB venison and brown rice. I've also fed the duck and potato forumla, and my crew has done great on both. I wish the food came in larger bags because 30 lb. bags don't last long with 3 large dogs, and the only place I can buy it locally is Petco at $41 a bag. They do have the buy 10, get one free deal, which doesn't seem like a wonderful deal at first until you finally get a free 30 lb. bag. [:D]

My cats also eat NB reduced calorie dry food, and they do well on it (even though one cat is fat and the other is a picky eater). They don't like NB'ss canned food, though. I haven't found one yet that they won't leave sitting on the counter for hours.

I see many comments about low protien with Natural Balance. Average is around 22-23% which seems about the average for all Kibbles......What are you comparing it to?

Another choice would be Nature's Logic. I have been feeing it for several months with great results.

I need something that does a comparison of the protein in raw meat to the protein in kibble.
    You know what I mean?
I know that the high protein in kibble is WAY higher than it would be in real raw meat due to the lack of water.
Er...I'm not thinking straight today, does that make sense? Did I word that correctly?
