That food to me looks like it is mostly grains? Unless I am reading the list wrong?  Plus they are ingredients splitting (rice and brown rice).  It also has barley and rye in it which are known to carry the fungi that (when and if grain gets moldy) produce mycotoxins.  Which means it is VERY important that it is stored in a cool dry air tight container.  I think I have seen that food before at my feed store and the bag is vaccume packed isn't it???  It's defentally not much of a different formula from a lot of the premium foods!  Good job to your breeder!!...mine was feeding purina...[sm=banghead002.gif]

Oh and anyone feel free to correct me if I am mistaken!!! Still learning all this stuff...

It seems like a good food. But then I saw further on the ingredient list pyridoxine hydrochloride and another chemical. I looked at the Material safety data sheet and it's an eye irritant. I wouldn't want to feed any food to my dog that has chemicals that are irritating by any means in it. Which brings me to the fact that im switching my dog from Iams to natura food.

However, most agree that the best way to get our B vitamins is naturally -- through the foods we eat!

OT, but aren't they available mostly through meat?

I've been told many times that as a vegetarian, I need to be on b complex supplements, and I know that I do feel better when I'm taking sublingual b 12. I was actually diagnosed with a b 12 deficiency, at one point, which manifested as rosacea.

Not to be pedantic Jaime, but the above comment seems to have been put accross as a solid fact,Sharon corrected her, quite rightly IMO as someone could have been put off of buying a food with pyridoxine in it thinking it was dangerous! That would have ruled out alot of foods,LOL.

I didnt see any "looking",only stating.
