    Favorite Doggy Treats

I am just wondering what kind of treats everyone feeds their dogs.  I am always in search of yummy yet not too crappy treats for Lucky.

He currently is crazy about the freeze dried chicken... but it is pretty costily.  And he loves the mother hubbard's variey biscuits.

Max seems to dig Natural Balance duck + potato treats. He really likes their little round treats.

I use Sam's Yams, CANZ real meat treats, and the new Wellness 95% meat treats (the fish and venison REEK). I've used Natural Balance's treats, and they like Yummy Chummies pretty well, too.

I think their favorite treat is Iceland Pure's dried fish.

My dogs are pretty easy, apples peices, baby carrots, broccoli, cheese, boiled liver, raw heart peices (carry in a baggy).

For premade: Canidae snap treats, Northern Biscuit, ZiwiPeak dehydrated treats, NRG dehyrdrated salmon peices of chicken.

I use Natural Balance food rolls.  They are healthy are he loves it.  I just cut slices then cut those into cubes.

Roru just loves freeze dried liver treats, I use them primarily for training and when we are out in public becuase they stink and grab her attention really well.
Her regular at home treats are Chicken Soup for the sog lovers soul brand. She loves them as well!

I found these really healthy dog treats.
    Go to dogtoys.com
Click on the green box, dog treats
    Click on healthy treats
Then you should see Garden Crisps.  They have Apple, Banana, Carrot and Sweet Potato.  The only ingredients are the food itself and canola oil.  For example, the apple only has apple and canola oil.  The banana, banana and canola oil.  I think they are cooked.  They look just like an apple, banana, carrot, etc.  My dog loves them.  They are crunchy and seem healthy.  Let me know what you think of these.  They are only $2.99 a bag from this website.  The bag is small though.  I bought four of each flavor.

Zoe loves freeze dried liver, but I have to be careful about giving her too much or she gets diarrhea.  Of course for christmas everyone buys Zoe Beggin Strips and Snausages, I'll let her have one of each on Christmas and then in the garbage they go.

    Joey likes...
Zukes - any flavor.  They make an all natural tiny training treat called Zukes Minis.  They also make a chew, kind of like a Greenie, but more natural and wheat free.

Cloud Star sweet potato formula.  Joey's allergic to wheat.  This is Cloud Star's only wheat free forumla.  They do make soft treats now, but they contain wheat.

Zen Puppy treats.  You can find these at Target.  They are soft and chewy.  Joey really likes these.

Nathan's Hot Dog treats for dogs.  Even my cats like these.

Red Barn Lamb sausage rolls.  They can be cut into little peices for training treats or stuffed inside Kongs or marrow bones.  Natural Balance makes sausage rolls too, but they contain wheat.

Red Barn Freeze Dried Lamb Lung. I work for a pet product distributor.  I recieve samples in the mail all the time. These are the one treat Joey will not stay out of.  He has eaten 3 12oz packages within the last month, without my permission - he sneaked them.

I also use the Natural Balance food rolls as treats. Because it's technically dog food and not a treat, I feel like I can use it without worrying about the junk food factor. It's also really versatile as I can slice and dice it for small training treats, or slice of a hunk and stuff it into something for a puzzle toy.

I have found though that the Turkey variety is a bit too rubbery for stuffing purposes. The lamb works better for that.

Freeze dried chicken, beef, salmon. Salmon skin bones (these are seriously messy and smelly - only feed them on a towel or in a crate). Peanut butter. All the treats in the Zuke's line. Liver and lung treats. Wellness Pure Rewards.

Willow's current favorite is the new soft & chewy treats from Cloud Star--the company that makes Buddy Biscuits.

Check out the recipes section for Annes Salmon treats. They are really easy and cheap to make, very healthy too. My dogs prefer those to any store bought treats I have ever found.

We have 7 dogs at the house right now (2 fosters, 1 dogsitting, 4 of my own) and they all like the Buddy Biscuits by Cloud Star. (Vegetarian is their favorite.)  I also use baby carrots, apple slices, and green beans which they love.
