    Switching Canned like Switching Dry??

If you want to change canned food often to change up the flavors does it need to be done mixed slowly like dry food.  Is switching within the same brand ok or even that needs to be done slowly.  Or brand to brand?  Or does it not matter.  Is it like changing dry and can upset their tummy?  Just dawned on me that we are always changing flavors and that may be bad.  They are fine with it, never seem to have a problem, just popped into my head while  ;pondering all the things I could have done differently with Kayla and that came up.  Could I have been making her system work harder to adjust to all those foods?  We never switched dry, just canned.
So, now Im trying to decide whether to give Bailey the same thing all the time, or if its okay to change them and if that needs to be done slow.

I change Boss and Gracie's all the time with no problems. (the canned). When I go to the store for their canned I come home with at least 4 different kinds and switch off all the time. I go between Evo, California Natural, Wellness, and Canidae.

They rarely get the same kind 2 days in a row because even with the Wellness and California Natural I get different flavors and switch off. I personally haven't had a problem with it and if it seems like Bailey is tolerating it I wouldn't worry.

I switch around the canned on my dogs too.... Green Cow, Eagle Pak, Solid Gold, etc . I find that some of them will give the dogs really bad gas. I was splitting an entire can between them. Now I only use about a tablespoon to mix into their food, just enough to lightly coat the kibble so they'll eat it. It seems to work much better that way.

Using canned as a supplement is different than if you use it for the entire meal. I'd say switching formulas within brands would be fine if it IS your dog's complete meal. If you're just supplementing I say use whatever you want that works.

Yes, I should add that I don't change their kibble like that. That stays the same. I was adding something else in for variety and he started having problems so I haven't done it lately, he gets Evo kibble..

Gracie is on Eagle Pack kibble and the variety in canned.

Glad to hear.. I always switched Kaylas canned flavors and brands and just got to wondering if that was bad for her.  But she got mostly dry with a little canned.  I am trying to feed Bailey more canned than dry... still mixing but more wet than dry.  I guess its okay to switch still...?  Or maybe I should stay within the same band and just switch flavors...

I don't add much canned to their dry, a few forkfuls, but I switch the canned every few days without any problem at all.
