    Will that really work??

Yep! She will soon realise that if she doesnt eat what you give her she gets nothing! I've done it with my extremely finicky dogs, and now one of them is on a diet as he's eating too much.

Iams and canidae arent even in the same league.Iams does cruel, vile animal testing, uses by-products and is grain heavy among other unsavoury ingredients.Canidae uses human grade foods and doesnt have any questionable ingredients or ethics!

What a cool sounding place. FWIW, I had pro pictures done of Emma last year, and I was VERY VERY happy with them. I wanted a nice, frameworthy photo of her (I have several, now, that I've taken, as well) with me, and of her alone. I got exactly what I wanted, and it was a pretty good experience.

Jennie, the work they had displayed was actually really really great work!  I liked the style very much.  But I can be pretty handy with a camera and ;photoshop, so I'm actually going to try to do some ;photos myself.  She had some displayed that looked like an Andy Warhol ;piece.  I thought I could try something like that for Romy and Winston and it would look pretty neat with the neo-mod theme I'm trying to do in my living room.  I'm a geek.  [8|]

That shot of Emma is great!  Her little head cocked to the side like that is too cute!

Well, I just wanted to update everyone.

It's only been 4 days since I've started feeding Canidae and I have already noticed changes.  Their stools already look healthier, and I have ALREADY noticed their coats feeling softer.  They were soft already from the Nutro Natural Choice, but now they're even softer!  Is that possible in 4 days?!  [:D]
    • Gold Top Dog
I found that I started seeing the changes within a week, so...I guess it's normal! Hehe.

my dog is now eating canidae, and she doesn't eat more than a 1/2 cup, shes a pom pom but anyways, her "fat lumps" are getting smaller each day!![:D]

I just recently switched my parents old, "chunky" english cocker over to the Canidae Platinum from Innova Senior (he had been on it for about 4 years, so I think he was due for a variety change) lol

2 of our 3 cockers are on Canidae and are doing great.  We feed dry food in the morning and my own home-cooked in the evening. A while ago I thought I would try something even more exotic, so we tried TO.   It was good, butI didn't notice any difference.  Now I learn that TO is made in the Diamond plant, ( as is Solid Gold & Natural Balance) and after their last disaster, I don't want to support that company. Are girls aren't picky and will eat anything.   Our ;puppy is on Innova Puppy and loves it. She'll be on the Canidae rotation soon.
We went back to Canidae and will rotate it with Innova.  I sure hope Canidae and Innova aren't made at the Diamond ;plant!

Should it really matter if they are made in the Diamond plant? None of those companies use toxin-suceptible grains and ship in their own ingredients....I don't see a problem.
Plus, I think it's sad that small companies who can't afford their own plants but want to do good in the world of dog food are getting bad publicity because of Diamond and the low quality ingredients used in their own foods.
    • Gold Top Dog
I agree with papillon. The other companies ship their own ingredients and have their own people testing the food. It's totally unfair for them to be penalized for Diamond's mistakes.
    • Gold Top Dog
But it COULD matter if their food is produced in an area of the Diamond plant where toxins or tainted grains have been.
    • Gold Top Dog
Well we know for a fact that the only Diamond plant affected was the SC one, and neither TO, SG, or NB uses that plant.
    • Gold Top Dog
Perhaps the other plants are fine.  Not a risk I'm willing to take with my dogs.
    • Gold Top Dog
Actually, SO and NB were quick to distance themselves from that particular plant, and they've said they do independant quality testing as well. I've heard neither of those things about Timberwolf. I didn't think anyone knew which plant it was produced at.

Anyway, the foods are produced by Diamond employees, and since it was basically found that human error was the cause of the whole debacle *I* sure don't want to find out what other security and safety measures those people are lax about.
