Made in the US - Chicken Jerky?

Does anyone know of a chicken jerky brand that isn't made in China?

I just bought a bag at Sam's Club, I checked the back, ingredients: Chicken, natural flavor.

I don't know where it was made though.

Just remember, chicken processed in the US is ladden with hormones, and dunked in bleach water, so that might not be the best either. I guess organic would be the best, but that is pricey!

If the brand from Wal-Mart or Sam's Club is Waggin Train, it's made in China and irradiated. The bags in my stores don't say irradiated, but they say made in China. Other people#%92s bags in other states say something about "irradiated for sterilization and freshness". I think different places have different labeling laws about that.

Chicken in the US is hormone free by law. It's not free of other wonderful things like antibiotics (personally I'd pick the hormones over the antibiotics myself!).

How about Wilderness Real Meat Treats----not U.S., but New Zealand.

Durango Chicken Jerky--not sure where these are made, maybe worth checking out:

Edited part: Oh, chicken from china[&:]. Duh

I don't know if Zukes Chicken is from the US either.

Red Barn!  All of Red Barn's treats are made in the US and the meat is from the US, probably a rendering plant, but the US. http://thepuppyshop.com/chickenjerky.html

Sounds like a job for a RonCo Meat Dehydrator! [:D]

And you can get a Popeil Pocket Fisherman to catch fish and make fish jerky!

Hrmph. My dogs love those things. I guess they'll finish the bag they've got, and not get them any more.

Praire/Nature's Variety makes yummy dry roasted turkey strips (they're very crunchy and easy to break), and bunny ears, in the US. They're pricey, though.

I'm reading my bag of Dogswell chicken "Breathies":

It says, "Cage free, natural chicken"..."No hormones, anitbiotics, fillers, byproducts"
-Now, I do understand that they probably can say that if they didn't add any of that themselves (re: the antibiotics), but one can only hope, lol

But it does say made in China....hmmm

Do you think they are that bad b/c Wolfie loooves them.

What about the duck and beef varieties?

I have the ducky ones. They say "cage free, all natural duck". They also say "made in China". Go figure.
