• fuzzy_dogs_mom Posted : 11/9/2006 4:24:07 PM Rebecca, I've wondered the very same thing.  CA has a very high number of Hispanics who could literally change the state (for the better IMO) if they would 1. vote and 2. vote in their own best interests.  What did they do?  The minority who did vote thought it would be "so cool to vote for the Terminator."  Now someone please tell me how that idiot body builder is going to do anything in the best interests of people struggling along in CA on $25 of $30k a year. • sandra_slayton Posted : 11/9/2006 5:16:22 PM We ousted our state rep from this area.  he had been in for years and years.  Then some info was brought out--and he denied it in the worse possible way.  They get an allowance to keep an apartment, etc in Austin. Well, it came out he was actually renting an apartment his wife owned---keeping his housing allowance in the family so to speak.  Well, it is not illegal, but very unethical  What cooked his goose was he first denied  that he knew it was his wife's apartment. People are wondering if he doens't know his wife owns the apartment he is renting, would he know much about what was going on in the House?  He is  repub, Gene Seaman, and he was beaten by the guy i voted for, Demo.
