    California Natural question...

Does anybody know if they make the CN Lamb & Rice puppy in small bites?  I have a friend who was interested in it, and I wasn't sure (she has a yorkie puppy).  I know they have a "small bites" for Innova adult, and CN adult formulas, but I wasn't sure about the puppy ones.  Also, does anybody know the kibble size of the CN Lamb & rice puppy (even if it's the regular) for reference?  (or have a picture...sounds stupid, but it would be helpful [8D])

Hi, I don't think the CN Lamb & Rice puppy is available in small bites. But the kibble size should be fine for small dogs. They are square shapes, smaller than a dime, about 1.2 cm (0.5 inches) wide. My 7 month old shih tzu puppy eats this enthusiastically every time No gas, and her poops are firm and compact. She has been eating this brand since she was 4 months old and it is in our rotation of foods. She had no problems eating this food even while she was teething. I guess its thin square shape makes it easier for them to bite and swallow. I wouldn't recommend the adult CN Lamb & Rice to a puppy, as its protein content is only 21%. My 19 month old shih tzu eats the adult CN Lamb & Rice with meat for dinner but she definitely prefers the puppy kibble. Probably more palatabletoo?? Hope this helps! [:)]

As the previous poster suggested, the kibble is a small square.  I think a Yorkie could handle it without a problem.

The above poster is also right about small, firm poops and the highly-regarded taste.

Oh good! By the sound of it I'm sure it would be suitable for a Yorkie.  The reason I ask is because my parent's 11yr old cocker spaniel, Coco (who is very allergic to chicken, etc) eats CN adult lamb & rice and the kibbles are HUGE.
