I am so happy for you and Max!!! [sm=dance.gif]
Yes, definitely add in a little bit of the sirloin (lucky doggy!) to his kibble for the next couple of days. I usually cut it up nice and small and mix it in really well. Usually once a week in the summer we BBQ, so I always make extra of whatever meat I am cooking for the puppers. I add in about 2 tablespoons of the good meat with each meal. Sometimes too I will warm a tablespoon of water and pour that over the meat and let it sit for a minute to make sort of a “light broth” so if he is losing interest in the meat after a couple more meals you could try that too!
As far as the yogurt I would definitely try it first with the meat also. Since he hasn#%92t been a yogurt fan this may increase his likelihood of eating it and now that he has steak and sardines in his kibble. . .the yogurt may not be so appetizing

I would maybe mix in the steak and then drop about ½ teaspoon of the yogurt onto 1 corner of his dish. That way you can see if he eats it and if he doesn#%92t like it you won#%92t be losing all that steak and elk kibble because you mixed in yogurt through the whole thing.
Green beans and carrots are very good choices. Does he ever eat veggies?? Frozen collard greens look kinda like spinach. I buy the safeway brand. I think though that I added too much and that is why the pups are polluting my house right now. I may not put any in the next batch of meat I cook.
So what meat are gonna cook for Max first?? [

I think it is a very good sign that he loved the steak in his kibble and ate everything. My two will only eat a couple meals of PLAIN kibble before they will refuse to eat and even canned food. . .they get tired of after a week or so and don#%92t eat with the same enthusiasm. But they ALWAYS eat up whatever I cook them (steak, chicken. . . ) I have been keeping evangers in the pantry for days when I am out of homecooked stuff and they like the variety. They also LOVE their yogurt and apparently will even eat that for more than a week straight (as they did at the rescue).
I think you will find that you save a lot of money too. Quality canned dog food is expensive! I usually end up paying between $1.75-$2.25 a can and the cans only last me about 2 days with 2 dogs. But DH bought chicken that was on an amazing sale and there are 8 HUGE breast for $6.63 in a pack. There was enough meat in that pack for close to 20 days of meals so I froze part of it after I cook it. Since I just add in a couple of tablespoons, it lasts a LONG time. Also, if I end up finding a really good deal on a HUGE beef roast, I cook up the whole thing in the crockpot and then divide the meat up into enough for about 3-4 days at a time and freeze some of it. Then I just pull it out of the freezer a couple weeks down the line.
I also think you will find the stools are more consistent when Max isn#%92t always on canned. Something about the canned food changes my pups poop a lot. Although that said. .. .I can#%92t wait to try the new TWO canned. If they like it and their poops are good on it then I will probably use 1 can over 2 days or so then give crockpotted meat for 3 days, then TWO canned. . .and alternate between the two. I am thinking of also eventually trying canned fish too once in awhile. We give them fresh fish when we make it for dinner, but I have never fed them canned fish.
