Yup, I worked at Ditech- right across the street from South Coast Plaza. At the time I lived in Huntington Beach, but now I'm living in Richmond, VA (where I'm originally from). :( I miss California sooooo much.

Wow, small world. And hey, I'm originally from Maryland. [:D] I miss the East Coast soooooo much (except that weather! Don't miss that much!). The people here drive me NUTS. LOL. Really just cause there's so freaking many of them...

But now I'm hijacking this thread. (Hey, you know what I just thought of? Do you think we grab the attention of all kinds of anti-terrorist filters when we say hijack? [:)] Oops..)

    Poop report!

On Solid Gold Barking At The Moon I am getting quite firm, low odor, low volume, easy to pick up, output.

Sounds like a keeper to me!
How come you don't want to keep your 13 month old pup on the Solid Gold?? Aren't they supose to be on regular adult food by this age??  Sorry for the ignorance. . .I have never owned a puppy, all my life my family and i have had shelter dogs so I am clueless about feeding puppies! [:D]

Ahhhh. . . .all this talk about back East is making me jealous. . .I hate living in Southern California. . . .I know. . .I know. . .most people think I am nuts but growing up in Colorado I miss the seasons and the SNOW!!!
I am very excited this year that for x-mas we are taking the RV to the local mountains for a week where I will be able to actually bundle up on X-mas day![:D]

TWIN- Let us know if the UPS truck stops for you today![sm=uhoh.gif]

I think it's the calcium level. Large breed pups aren't supposed to have really high calcium, and I think BATM is pretty high, like Evo.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm going to Maryland this weekend for my grandmother's 80th birthday, and am so excited that there will actually be some TREES to see turning colors. I love the rivers and the bay in the fall. I don't miss winter that much, cause in Maryland we don't always get snow, and the summers are usually unbearably hot and humid, but I sure do miss fall and spring.

Ahhhh. . .Ok is this because they don't want them to grow too fast or am I confusing things??

It should be beautiful this time of year in Maryland. . .I LOVE the turning of the trees!  I always miss the aspens in Colorado changing in the fall. . .nothing more beautiful to me.  [:)]  I would be very jealous of you but I am going for my very first trip to NYC in a few weeks so I should get to see some neat "fall" changes too.

    Have fun visiting grandma!

Yep.  It's a bone development thing.

OK. .. I remember hearing a bit about this and isn't it especailly true of large or giant breeds that you need to really keep this in line (thus there are special large breed formulas)???  and then if this is not kept in line then it can contribute to bone and joint problems as they age??

So how old do they need to be before you can put them on a higher calcium food??

    Righto

I believe the magic age is 18 months.

I am in the armpit of California...and boy do I hate it!! I absolutely love going up to Oregon to visit with my BF's family. I thought everywhere was going to be like CA, but boy was I wrong. People in Oregon are so friendly and nice. My favorite is that they are way better drivers and so much more patient, slow, considerate! [:)] Ahhhh...and not to mention the wonderful smog free air! Oh, I swear my lungs are healthier when I am there...not to mention the better gas (the have 92 octane), and the NO tax! WOO HOO!! [:D]

Did I mention Covered Bridges...one time when we went up there we spent the whole time in search of all the covered bridges...reminds me of the olden days! I know New England is supposed to have a TON of covered bridges...do you guys on the East Coast or from the East Coast have a lot of covered bridges?

OK, now back onto the posted topic...I am in such anticipation now for my food to arrive...I have just a few more minutes until 12:30pm when the UPS guy comes...if he doesn't...no package for me today. I will hopefully be updating you soon (crossing fingers!) [&:]

It is 2:30. .  .I am assuming you did not get it. . .[:@]

My first trip to Oregon was about a year ago to Portland. .  . I got to see the salmon swimming up stream (and dying [:(]) it was the most amazing thing to watch them. Ate fresh smoked salmon from a little roadside stand and it was so exquisite! Not like any other smoked salmon I have ever tasted.  I fell in love with Oregon too and you are so right about the people. .  .not like california folks at all. Beautiful country. .  .I want to go back for a trip in the RV within he next couple of years!

now I'm living in Richmond, VA

Hey, we were just up there last weekend for a sheepdog herding competition! New Kent, actually. There will be another one at the State Fair if you are there for that. I might enter that one, I'm not sure at the moment.

Oh wow! That is close to me! You got to enjoy some of the milder weather- this summer was HOT and humid. [:'(]

Okay, just one more tiny hijack... That's so funny that you're originally from Maryland! I agree about toooo many people in California. The traffic was TERRIBLE. It took me 45 minutes to and from work everyday and it was only a 6 mile drive! [&:]

But I absolutely loved the palm trees, sunshine, spanish architecture, manicured landscaping, and mild weather. [:)] Virginia is like a humid weed pit in the summer and a freezing slush land in the winter. And don't get me started on the mosquitoes and other insects. [:(]

    Okay, hijack over!

Twin- I hope your TO shows up soon!!! I wonder why it's taking so long to get to you. [:o]
