Timberwolf Ocean Blue

    Timberwolf Ocean Blue

I got my bag, today, and the dogs LOVE it!

Three hours later, Emma started reacting. Poor kid. She's had a Benadryl, and we'll be off to bed, in a few minutes. Oh, well. Teenie will eat it.

It's too bad, though, because the ingredients are so much better than Natural Balance, and they deliver it to your door, for about the same price.

what is it in the food that she's reacting to, do you think (or know)?

Awww, that's a shame; I hope Emma is okay.

I'm guessing it's the sea veggies. She's reacted to them before. I had read an article on how kelp needs to be mixed with other sea veggies, to be the most beneficial, because it's high in arsenic and the other sea veggies are high in arsenates, or something like that. I'd given her kelp, before, and she broke out in hives. This isn't hives, but itching and acting "weird".  She's had some Benadryl, and she's sleeping, now. She'll be fine, tomorrow.

I ordered some yesterday. I'm hoping Cherokee will be able to eat it part time. I'm specifically looking for a food to feed her when I'm being extra-lazy and when I travel, which isn't often, but I'm going away in a couple weeks, and don't think any of my sisters would appreciate feeding her if they had to add a long list of supplements! [;)] So I'm hoping that she'll like the Ocean Blue, and there's nothing in the ingredients that I even suspect her of having an issue with. We shall see!

Editted to ask: How long did it take for you to get it after you ordered it? Obviously we live on opposite sides of the country, but I'm just looking for an idea on how long it might take... I think the website might have told me, but I can't remember.

I got mine yesterday evenig but between getting ready for Patrick's surgery and battening down the hatches for Ernesto I haven't had time to come online and mention it.  But THANK YOU and I'm quite impressed, I have to say.  Even Patrick was kind of excited.  I have about half a bag of the current feed to finish and then my "power" dogs will give it a whirl.  An acid test, lol.  I got the lamb and apple because we usually switch to lamb this time of year.  It will be interesting to see whether my new dog shows a difference - he had a sort of icky coat and his condition is not so great and my current food (which was chosen with my easy keepers in mind) is not doing the trick for him.

I hope that your pups feel better soon.  I haven't tried the Ocean Blue variety, but I'll have to stay away from it anyhow because of Rylie's food allergies.

I'm going for the Wild and Natural tomorrow.
We'll see how she does on it.

It's normally considered an allergy formula, as it is fish based and grain free. Emma is just super sensitive.

Teenie loves the stuff, and the ingredients list is fantastic!

I got my free bag of the Timberwolf Lamb and Apples a few days ago and he's actually eating it over the Bil-Jac!!  I put the TO beside the Bil-Jac (which is how I normally see if he likes a new food) and he actually has been eating the TO (when he normally just sniffs the new stuff and goes back to the BJ).  If he really likes it I may continue buying it if his stools remain good, etc

That's GREAT! I almost  got the lamb and apples, but I decided to go with the grain free version, since my dogs aren't used to eating grains. I wouldn't have even tried the lamb and apples, with Emma, since barley is a gluten grain, and makes her scratch her skin off.

That's great news; I hope she continues to like it.
