    cow trachea

Has anyone giving their dogs cow trachea before? It seems to make their stools a bit soft...

No, I have never used it, but understand it is good for them.

Maybe you are just giving too much?  Overfeeding can cause loose stools.

The dogs seem to enjoy it..cannot feed it too frequently..especially to the old gal. She is prone to diarrhea and her stool get's grainy from it too. Diego only can eat about half and Casey will eat her's and then finish his..she's a horse! Casey's a shetland pony sometimes...what an appetite!

I tried Merrick's beef trachea before they started basting it.  My dog loved it.  Then they started basting them and my dog threw-up.  Most  most "hickory" basting on most chews make my dog sick.

What sensitive dogs we have! I think you can still get unbasted. We order in bulk online. We also get smoked sows ears (they are called something else though)...they seem softer and less likely to break off then cow ears. They are much bigger and a lighter color.

Are you guys talking about straight-from-the-cow trachea, or som commercial cooked, canned variety?
