Smaller pieces in Evo? Any Difference?

I'm just wondering if there is any difference with the new smaller pieces that Evo comes in. I got a bag before that was labeled small bites, and Max had no problems with it. The last bag I had was labeled regularly, and was the large pieces, but the most recent one I purchased was not labeled small bites, but it is. Max doesn't seem to like it very much either. I 've never had a problem with him eating until this bag of food. Yesterday morning he refused to eat it at all, and I suspect he might have been a bit full from stuff I gave him the night before. Today he ate a little bit, and then stopped eating it, but when I went back over near him he ate a few more pieces. Then I tried handing some to him. He refused the first time, and it was a small piece. The second piece I gave him was a large one, as I still have some in the container, and he ate that, then he ate a small piece, but refused to eat any more after that. I poured the rest of it back. I'm hoping to get to the store today so I can ask them if they know of any difference between the two, but I thought i'd ask here as well and see if anyone else knew of a difference.

I have to say that I probably have the world's pickiest eater for a dog.  I have found that she likes the EVO RM formula which is small pieces. We decided to feed her a better food and started her off on the regular EVO, but she decided that she didn't like that after I bought a huge bag of it. [:@] So, we switched to the RM.  At first she ate a lot of it and then wouldn't touch it, and I think it was because she wasn't used to it as she had always had larger kibble.  Now she is eating it much better.  She doesn't eat much kibble anyways.  She doesn't seem to be a huge fan of dry food.  I feed her one can of EVO every night and then I just leave her kibble down during the day.  I don't know if you free feed Max.  I have noticed that some days she does eats more than others.  If I stand there by her bowl she will eat a lot of it, and I'm not sure why.  It also depends on what kind of canned food I feed her.  I've noticed that if I feed her the EVO Rabbit, she'll eat almost all the dry food.  If I feed her regular Innova canned food, she might not even touch her dry food.

Anyways, I doubt that there is any diffence in the food other than the size of the kibble especially if it is the same formula.  It is possible that he is upset by having a couple of changes or that he just has a preference for the larger kibble.  It could be the dog instincts as most dogs are scavengers and go in search of food when they are hungry. You could probably contact Innova to make sure though.  I know of people who have contacted them via e-mail and have received pretty quick responses.

You might try the red meat version if you are using the chicken and turkey. Pippin was on Evo for some time and liked it just fine but suddenly out of the blue she did not like it any more. She would spit them out in my lap![:D] I got her the Red meat one whent ey came out with it and she likes it fine.

I could try the red meat, and we're about due for a switch, but I just opened this bag a few days ago, and I of course didn't keep the receipt. He eats it at night fine, but not in the morning. I'm assuming he is more hungry at night after not eating all day long though.
