I have to say that I probably have the world's pickiest eater for a dog. I have found that she likes the EVO RM formula which is small pieces. We decided to feed her a better food and started her off on the regular EVO, but she decided that she didn't like that after I bought a huge bag of it. [
:@] So, we switched to the RM. At first she ate a lot of it and then wouldn't touch it, and I think it was because she wasn't used to it as she had always had larger kibble. Now she is eating it much better. She doesn't eat much kibble anyways. She doesn't seem to be a huge fan of dry food. I feed her one can of EVO every night and then I just leave her kibble down during the day. I don't know if you free feed Max. I have noticed that some days she does eats more than others. If I stand there by her bowl she will eat a lot of it, and I'm not sure why. It also depends on what kind of canned food I feed her. I've noticed that if I feed her the EVO Rabbit, she'll eat almost all the dry food. If I feed her regular Innova canned food, she might not even touch her dry food.
Anyways, I doubt that there is any diffence in the food other than the size of the kibble especially if it is the same formula. It is possible that he is upset by having a couple of changes or that he just has a preference for the larger kibble. It could be the dog instincts as most dogs are scavengers and go in search of food when they are hungry. You could probably contact Innova to make sure though. I know of people who have contacted them via e-mail and have received pretty quick responses.
