Anyone know kibble size of T.O. Wilderness Elk?

I'm just curious and I the only thing I can find mentioned on the internet is that Wild and Natural is the smallest kibble. [8|]

I'm not sure, but are you thinking of trying it?  I read just last night somewhere on here that someone with a little dog had problems with vomiting on the Elk but was fine on the other formulas.  I can't think of who it was!!

My Madison was the dog who was vomiting from the Wilderness Elk.  He has done great with every other formula that we tried... just not the Elk.  He just couldn't keep it down.

Ah, ha. . .there you are, I knew someone had mentioned it.  Anyway, Willow won't even eat that size kibble.

Thank you so much!! I didn't want to bug you with little questions like that; I really appreciate you answering!! [:)]

I'm really glad it's such a small kibble size, I was hoping it would be because I need a small kibble for Gingerbread and my new little Shih Tzu puppy, Cinnabun.

Yup, I'm getting a free bag because of the very generous offer on the other thread!! I really do love the ingredients in Timberwolf, I was just always concerned because of the customer service.

Jessie- that's weird that Madison couldn't keep it down. Did your other two dogs eat the same food? Just curious if they were able to eat it fine... Gingerbread is eating Natural Balance Venison & Rice right now and not having any problems. I chose the Elk formula because I think it's a similar meat to Venison.

I'm in the process of switching my other dogs onto TO.  Madison and Rylie are eating the Black Forest Venison and Lamb, and they are doing great with it.  Chloe is on Wellness Puppy, and I plan on switching her onto TO when her bag is almost gone.  She has a very sensitive stomach, so I'm not sure of how she will do with the TO.

Madison has never had a problem with any food, which is why the vomiting from the Elk was so strange... he's been on an array of different foods, from Innova to Wellness to TO, and has never had any sort of problems (besides excessive gas from the Innova), until we bought the TO Wilderness Elk.

Hmmm, that's really weird, not unheard of by any means though for a dog not to tolerate certain ingredients for whatever reason. [8|]

By the way, that's a CUTE group you have!! [:)]

It's just funny because elk is very similar to venison and bison, and Madison is fine with venison and bison.

Rylie has food allergies to a couple of different meats... I'm glad that she is doing well with the TO (I like TO much better than Wellness Simple Food Solutions, which was what she was on).

Gingerbread is adorable as well!  I've always loved white and fluffy dogs :)

Thank you for the compliments on Gingerbread! [:)]

The first thing I did was check the expiration date, and it was fine.  It may have just been some fluke thing with Madison's stomach just not agreeing with the food.  We've tried a few of the different formulas: South West Chicken and Herbs, Black Forest Venison and Lamb, and Dakota Bison... he's done great with these three.

Ben's violently allergic to venison. Not just a little, like, go to the vet allergic. It's a shame because it's really easy for us to get deer meat for nothing. [sm=sad.gif] Or it used to be until we moved - I'm sure it will be the same or better here because my landlord rents out hunting land. It's ironic that my biggest eater is also the one with the most difficult needs.

But he tolerates bison and elk well. It's like the chicken/duck thing - he does OK on duck but not chicken. I thought for a while that he was developing a duck allergy but it turned out to be something else, whew.

Unfortunately most commercial formulas that include bison or elk also include venison or, of course, grains. There's a place a couple hours away where I could get fresh bison but it's really expensive, not to mention the gas getting there. I don't know of any elk farms.

The next time I get paid I'm going to try the Canine Caviar beaver!

How old is Cinnabun?  I am just wondering if this is a good food to feed to both an adult dog and puppy???  If it is... I might see if Duke & Daisy like it.  Duke & Daisy always eat eachothers foods so I have to make sure that it is not just an adult formula.  I have also had problems with Duke and throwing up... so I have to see if I can find a better food.

TO is for all life stages.  It is formulated for both adult dogs and puppies.
