    Wild Salmon Oil - T.O.

Has anyone used the Wild Salmon Oil from Timberwolf Organics?

    Does it work?
    Does it cause stomach upsets?
How much do you give...is it everyday, every meal?

    Thanks! [:D]

I have heard of people that use it, I don't myself . Usually give it a couple of times a week. Some dogs it can cause stomach upsets so start out giving gradually. It will make the coat alot softer and shine more. Salmon or fish a couple of times a week is good also.

I've never really liked the oil in capsule form.  I just feed fresh salmon about twice a week and that works fine.  I just like it because it's easyer to feed then forcing a capsule down the dogs throught.  I do prefer wild caught over anything else but for me it just depends on what's in the stoes at the time.  I'de say give about a slice 2x2x4 in. and that should be enough.  I usally buy a larg pice of slamon and cut it and freez what I don't use right away.

It's a liquid that you pour on the dog's food. [;)] Sooo much better than forcing a capsule down their throat; I couldn't bring myself to do that to Gingerbread every day.

I just got Grizzly Salmon oil today. It comes in a bottle with a pump dispenser to make it super easy. The other major brand that I know of is Kronch Wild Salmon oil, it also comes with a pump dispenser.

I just wanted to add that most dogs are going to take a fish oil capsule very easily. Willow loves them and she's a very fussy dog.

we have been giving our dogs grizzly salmon oil for several months. i was just looking at the salmon oil on the TO web site. does anyone know what the differences are between the two brands?

is the liquid high in calories? I used to add veg oil to help my constipated Casey out...and it packed on the pounds. I don't use it any more though...actually it was my mom giving it to her when I was away at college. Moms...[&:]

I have used the VRG salmon oil that TO sells, and Grizzleys. I don't use them everyday, maybe once or twice a week. I also recently tried the California Naturals Supplement...my dogs are used to the salmon oil so I just started out with the CN at full dose... not wise! Poor guys all got the runs. So I would say start out slow and work your way up.

I live in the Pacific Northwest so have always been taught you cannot feed raw salmon or trout unless you deep freeze it for a certain amount of time(cannot remember how long). Has something changed that I haven't heard?
