Rave for TW Organics Dakota Bison

After reading mixed reviews, I decided to give the Timberwolf Organics Dakota Bison a try with my 2 finicky Jack Russells.  They *loved* it!!! I couldn't believe that they actually ate everything in their bowl for a change! I ordered the smallest bag they sold, just in case they didn't like it I didn't waste money or food. But they ate all of the food at both morning and evening feedings. I just ordered 2 more small bags. In the meantime, since I am now out of the TWO,  I am using Chicken Soup  for the Dog Lover's Soul because the ingredients looked better than most brands. They are so-so on the Chicken Soup brand.

Just wanted to post a rave for the TW Organics. Not sure about the other varieties they sell, but my guys loved the Dakota Bison. :)

I love TWO [:D]  The Dakota Bison formula is a favorite here as well!  I currently have Madison on the Black Forest Venison and Lamb... he really likes that one as well.

Can either one of you do me a small favor?
Can you look to see if the T.O. forumlas you have have ground cinnamon bark in the ingredients.
I think that might be while Ella wouldn't eat the Ocean Blue I bought her.

Mine has ground cinnamon bark in it as well.

On the TWO website, they list the ingredients to all of their foods[:)]

Yes, the package of Dakota Bison says Cinnamon Bark as one of the ingredients.   Maybe that's why it smells so good! lol

The food does smell so good!  lol.

How are your dogs stools on Timberwolf Organics?

Also, if you rotate between the varieties do they stay solid?

Ella's poops were healthy on T.O.
She pooped less (went from 3 times a day to once a day) and it was a dark healthy color and firm enough to scoop out of the grass without smearing it.

Some people say that it is actually better to switch between formulas of 1 brand of dog food... the TWO website even says that you should switch between their formulas.

I use peepads with my chihuahuas, since I live in a condo and it is more convenient.  Madison's stools are always small and firm, do not smell, and he poops 1-2 times a day.

In comparison, my Rylie is on Wellness Simple Food Solutions... she weighs 3.5lbs (half of Madison's weight) and her stools are larger.  I'm in the process of switching the girls onto TWO as well, so I will update on how they do.

Their stools were fine on the TWO.  Their stools were not fine on Wellness. They both had horrible diarrhea on the two kinds of Wellness I tried.

Right now I am rotating between the TWO bison and the Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. I picked the Chicken Soup because the first 4 ingredients were all meat.

I was looking at trying Dakota Bison or Wilderness Elk for our first time. Has anyone fed the Wilderness Elk? They both look to have the same ingredients after the 1st one (bison or elk). Salmon Meal is the 2nd ingredient for both. This beings the case would I need to rotate those 2 since they are so similar?

    Suggestions? [:D]

For some reason, the Wilderness Elk did not sit well with Madison.  He vomited after the few times that he ate it.

I heard that Timberwolf Organics is manufactured by Diamond.

I am not liking that news...[:@]

I'm pretty sure that they are an independent company... hmmm...

I just looked around on their website and found out that their company is located about 10 minutes away from me :)
