UMMM, That looks and smells good

Hubby came into the kitchen yesterday afternoon and looked in the pan simmering on the stove and same "Umm, that looks good.  Smells good too.  What kind of soup is it"?

I had to inform it it was the dog's "soup" for their supper---ground turkey, chopped sweet potatoes, frozen peas and carrots. He declared he wouldn't mind eating a little of that.

That post reminded me of a story.  A few years back, I went to my GF's house (she was living with her parents at the time) and was hungry so looked in the fridge and took out a pot of pasta with ground beef on it.  As i was putting in on a plate my GF told me that that was the dogs food.  I told her  that their dogs ate better then they did.

My dogs LOVE that combo. They're getting ground turkey, green beans, carrots, and peas:)

One night I was out mowing and came in to find that my husband had dished up servings of the "chicken and rice" that had been simmering in the crock pot all day. I walked in just in time to see the kids making faces and pushing their plates away. It was a special batch of chicken breast, white rice, organ meat, molasses, and livestock vitamins (including electrolytes) that I had made up for a dog with chronic tummy problems.

Hehehehe...In my house it's the kids trying to feed what they *know* is the dog's food to DH...rotten kids!!

Markie is now getting ground beef, rice, dried raw egg, vitamin mix and oatmeal to raise the carbs for his road work...Poor Bill!

I've got labels all over everything in our fridge.  Willow's and then I put Papa's for DH's stuff.  I have had to do this especially since starting to feed Evanger's.  It really looks like human food more than any brand I've seen.
