Jeano,
You don't have to get everything organic but canola oil is not the best oil to use for your pet or yourself. A truely good pet food will use fish oil, chicken fat , salmon oil, walnut oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil , olive oil. These are all COLD PRESSED, UNREFINED oils that are much better than using a chemically, genetically engineered oil like canola. UGH.. I don't even know how you can eat canola.. it tastes absolutely disgusting IMO. Olive oil would be a MUCH better choice. You may want to consider trying Timberwolf Organics. It's a much better quality food then Fromms or even many of the others. Check out our ingredients. We us absolutely NO fillers, premium quality oils, super nutrient dense meat meals as the first ingredient, very very little grain, no corn, soy or wheat ( except in one formula whole ground wheat is used for the amino acids ). No other food can boast 1/2 lb of pure meat protein for each pound of food either and we use unique protein sources like New Zealand bison, elk, venison & lamb, as well as the customary chicken, turkey and salmon. All of our formulas use either a combination of tuna/anchovy/menhaden/mackerel oil, wild salmon oil or roasted walnut oil as their primary source of linoleic acids....Omega 3's & 6's. Also TO is less expensive than other brands considering we use top quality ingredients and have the most meat per pound.
