    zucchini

I boiled some zucchini and gave it to Jake yesterday and today and he loved it.  I made it a little on the crunchy side.  I know zucchini is okay for dogs, but what about the seeds in it?  I thought seeds are bad for dogs?  Is it okay if my dog has the zucchini if there are seeds in it?

I think, and just an opinion, is that the only thing bad, if you call it that, is that many of them are not digested...It is natures way of reproduction that animals take the seeds in and pass theom out.someplace else to propagate the  plant or tree elsewheres....never did study too much about dogs and seeds.

I often used zuchinni in my homecooked.  I think dvet has it right about the seeds not digesting.

Mine enjoy it to as a yummy snack while I fix it for the fam.

I forgot to ask, is zucchini skin okay?

I leave the skin on potatoes, sweet potaotes, squash (yellow and the Zuc).  Tonight mine had chicken hearts boiled with sweet potaotes and frozen peas and carrots added at the end.

I am positive that raw seeds do not digest--look at animal poop--but it could be that cooked ones would.  But I don't think it makes a lick of difference.  By the way, I got yellow squash and a pound of ground turkey for their supper tomorrow night.

I don't think you need to worry about those kind of seeds.  They will just pass them.  Dogs don't seem to digest corn kernals either (at least not according to my dogs poop).

Its seeds from apples & pear or larger seed like apricot/peach/avocado that you need to worry about.
