Pressure Canned Chicken Thighs

• Pressure Canned Chicken Thighs laura32_13606 Posted : 8/13/2014 9:50:47 AM I make home made dog food for my dogs, as well. We buy chicken thighs in bulk and then pressure can them for the dogs. I know I am not supposed to feed dogs cooked chicken bones because of the splintering. The pressure canned bones seem very soft to me. The question I have is this: could I blend all the meat and bones together and puree it in a food processor and feed it to my dogs? They can eat the bones if the meat is raw so I don't see why the dogs can't eat the pressure canned bones if they are pureed with no chance of splintering. Please help me understand if I should do this or not. I always like to err on the side of caution so please just check with your vet. Are you feeding other foods besides the chicken? Meat alone is not a balanced diet, especially chicken.
