Thanks...wasnt sure if it was a new recall or an extension of the old one.   I dont feed this food but still like to know when they are getting recalls.

That's what I thought too when I saw this, but later when I checked my e-mail, there was an alert from dogfoodadvisor. For a company that hasn't had recalls in the past, this has been very surprising. I don't feed Natura products either but would never have expected months of recalls.

I feed one of the foods on the list, as does a good friend of mine who boards my dogs. She contacted the company for details because she buys/feeds it in high volume (I have 3 dogs but just get one bag at a time and am not feeding it to "client" dogs). Apparently one of the reasons it seems like there are more recalls is because of the melamine fiasco, companies are now doing more/faster testing *and* doing more "precautionary" type recalls.  In this case, no dogs or people got sick, they just recalled several product lines due to a single test in one production plant as a precaution.  Not sure if that helps or hurts as far as PR.  The amount of salmonella allowed in dog food is LESS than what is allowed in human food.  Luckily my friend has a stock of the food I need so she's selling me some of hers since you can't find it at the store right now (she also has like 10 bags they are reimbursing due to the recall).  I had to switch all my dogs cold turkey because the recall happened the *day* we ran out and I was going to get more food but they'll be back on their normal food as soon as I meetup with my friend.
