Anyone use a dehydrator?

    Anyone use a dehydrator?

I just ordered a fairly inexpensive one to try...my dogs love the sweet potatoes I've been buying from Canyon Creek, but dang, I just realized they are made in China.   I don't know if there is a problem with the sweet potatoes, but I know there is one with chicken from China.  PetSmart doesn't really have other options, so I'll do it myself!!!  Wonder if they like apples...pears...?  No, I'm not going to get into this big time...just an experiment!

I've thought about it, want to hear what you think at the end of a week, and if you are still using it at the end of a year, lol.

I thought raw sweet potato was good for cleaning their teeth;  no sure if it works the same way if it is dried though.

Do you plan to do any meats with it?

I use a dehydrator for drying tomatoes, apples, etc, for human consumption. Haven't dried anything for the pups.

I have a dehydrator just for the dogs. My fav thing is sweet potatos. I've done apples and bananas but they just get chewy for me rather than crispy, which I prefer for the dogs. I haven't done chicken jerky yet but I plan to one of these days.

I use the dehydrator for dog treats.  Sweet potatoes, apples, pears, peaches, figs, beef heart & liver are always a hit here.

Oh, gosh. Don't tell Sinbad I should be making him dried liver treats in the dehydrator. I'll never hear the end of it!
