I would prefer feeding something like this. I have tried THK's Preference thinking it may be "the one" (because I really like to feed premixes) but it seemed to make the dogs itchy.

    I ordered a 2lb bag to try.

My only problem with premixes (and the reason why I don't feed Sojos or THK) is that I can't figure out how it can have all the necessary vitamins/minerals. I don't believe that a bit of carrots and parsley provide enough nutrients that a dog needs.

I guess I would just feel more comfortable giving a dog vitamin or something if I was feeding one of these premixes. But I guess i'm a bit paranoid about stuff like that...lol.  I eat several servings of fruits/veggies everyday, but I personally still take a vitamin supplement because I'm pretty sure I would be deficient in some things otherwise.

I wouldn't feed this exclusively. I will still add organs and rmbs and leftover people food to their bowls.  I also get a dog vitamin from whole foods which the dogs love.

Just a quick update for those who are interested...

It's super easy to mix up ( I use cold water and leave the meat raw).  The dogs LOVE the taste. It smells pretty good, strongly of brocolli.

So as I said, I plan to use it as a base, add RMBs couple times a week, occasional organ meats, etc.  So yesterday was an RMB day. I only had wings, so they got  a dollop of the petmix in their bowls as well.

As I usually do, I handed them their RMBs, which they typically take and cronch down with relish and want more. Nope. Not this time!  They all 3 dropped their wings and looked up at me for their bowls which had the petmix in it!!  I indulged them and let them eat their petmix first and once they were sure they got every last scrap, they ate their wings.  Now that has got to be the ultimate test LOL.

Poo scooping has been great, small and firm, low odor.  And I dont have to worry about making everything from scratch all the time, which is great.

    Thought I'd update :)

Wow, they prefer the taste of the mix to a RMB!

Just out of curiosity, how does the cost of this mix compare to others? I remember THK being horribly pricey...

It's about the same, few cents less.
