    One quirk after another...

So Maze made it quite clear that she was done with veggies, and wanted the diet Sandy's on which is great. That's what I wanted in the beginning..

HOWEVER! Some of you may remember that Maze has an "issue" about eating full bones.. IE: SHE WON'T! She will not chew a full bone to save her life.... My dainty dog. Lol.  Well I had to find a way to get some bone in to her diet since I do not feel like drying and crumbling egg shells..

After some trial and error (including me holding said bone so she didn't have to touch it, just chew it) a friend of mine took a butcher's knife and broke the bone in to 3 pieces. Well wouldn't ya know!! She ate it with no issues after that.. Chewed it like a pro...

Guess it wasn't bite size enough.....

sounds like my Theo....he won't eat big pieces unless they are whacked down to size!

Darby is the same. She prefers that I whack at it for a bit with the cleaver and then serve.

But is she actually CHEWING the bone?  I give mine chicken backs because they tend to just swallow chicken necks whole.

I'll have to get a picture of my dainty, little Bean, working on a giant knuckle bone, LOL. I find it so amusing....

Yes Callie, she is chewing.. She just doesn't want to break it down into mouth size bites.

I held a cornish hen back while she worked on it yesterday and she's slowly getting the idea to pull meat off the bone. Lol
