    Why are you still itching!!!

    Seriously!! Maze went 2 weeks without scratching. But these past 3 weeks, Maze has been scratching and chewing almost none stop. The only new things in her diet are: Snap peas, Fish oil pills, Vit E, CoQ10, Hawthorn Berry powder...

    Suggestions?

    Given the time of the year, it's very likely some kind of weed pollen (inhalant allergy).  I'd try some Benadryl or one of the other antihistamines.

    People tend to think 'food' instantly and it's usually not.  Sometimes it is, but often it's atopic (inhaled) allergies which dogs actually absorb right thru their feet and skin.

    This might help if you do it on a daily basis Vitamin C may delay the secretion of histamines. In allergic dogs, the release of histamines in excess is responsible for the occurrence of the allergy symptoms. Research has shown that vitamin C may delay or reduce the production of histamines. In addition, vitamin C is a great antioxidant, which will be helpful for the dog’s immune system. http://www.vetinfo.com/supplements-for-dog-allergy-relief.html

    I agree that it could be environmental allergies.  My dogs were doing great right up until pollen counts started rising. Now humans and dogs are miserable and itchy.

    Try the benedryl and see how that goes.

     In addition to giving her antihistamines, you could also bathe her. Nu Sal -T helps to reduce the itching;

     If she does have grass allergies, the hawthorne berry powder may be affacting her. Certain foods cross react with environmental allergies;

    Also, many other nutrients in the diet affect skin health besides fish oil. Zinc, b vitamins, and linoleic acid are especially important for the skin.
