    What's closest to Blue?

Given this news, http://www.petconnection.com/blog/2010/09/08/blue-buffalo-dog-food-may-be-linked-to-serious-illness/ I'm looking to switch Luke off of Blue. He's having no problems, I don't even know for sure that he is eating chicken because I switch between the flavors. Still, I'd rather take no chances with my dog. I may end up just switching him to raw. I'm not wonderful about brushing his teeth, but for his age they're worse than I would like. Still, I need a few days to research that, and something to give him in the mean time.

So it's JUST Blue Wilderness chicken? My dad feeds his dog Blue Buffalo (regular, not wilderness) usually the fish kind (I think its trout and potato?) but switches between that and TOTW (usually every other bag). Just a few days ago Jack was lethargic and didn't eat all day... BUT, that's not exactly an unusal thing for Jack because he eats pretty much anything he finds and will act sick for the day, then the next day he is fine. Don't want to take any chances, though..

I switched my guys from Blue to Wellness. They carry it at petsmart now, and it was actually cheaper for a larger bag. (I was feeding the limited ingredient one, turkey)

An often overlooked, but nice food is the Castor and Pollux brand--they have a nice organic line as well as their original Ultramix line. They can be found at both Petsmart and Petco, now---as well as Whole Foods.  You may also want to check out the Nature's Variety Prairie line of foods (with grains), or if you want to go grain free, the NV Instinct is a good option/  Look into Orijen and Acana, as well.

There was major traffic ahead of me on the road tonight, so I pulled into a shopping center with a Petsmart. I went with Nature's Recipe Grain Free, Chicken, Pumpkin and Sweet Potato. Either Evo or Wellness didn't agree with him in the past, I don't remember which one. I figured, since I will likely just switch without doing it gradually, this is hopefully a better bet for his stomach. If I chose to switch again, then I can go gradually from this to something else. I do actually live very close to three private places, and between the three, I can get almost anything I want. I could possibly even get something order to some of the places if they carry the brand but not the specific formula I want.
