    Heads up Natural Balance users...

When I picked up food & treats earlier (NB Duck & Potato), I noticed the treat bags were different. The girl at the store said NB is changing all their packaging. Actually, I like the new packaging. My concern is that new packaging normally means a change to the ingredient list some how. Sure enough- they've taken the duck meal out of the treats, and have the molasses listed as cane molasses. Other changes: Crude Protein is down from 20% min to 13%, Crude fat from 6.0% min up to 7.0%, crude fiber up from 3.0% max to 4.0%, moisture has stained at 10% max.

Those don't sound like real big changes to me, and probably won't bother Caleb a bit. But I know some dogs out there are very sensitive to changes.

Is it the treats only that have changed?

I only compared the ingredients in the treats because the food is still in the old bag.  The girl at the store said all the packaging was changing, so I'll assume the food ingredients have or will be, too.  If I remember correctly, the companies have a certain amount of time after making changes before they have to change the lables.  That gives them time to use up the old bags.  The ingredient list for the Duck & Potato food from the website is different than the label I have saved from 2008 (no duck meal on listed on the website for one).  I'm cutting the lable off the current bag of food when I finsih it later today.

I would say that 20% to 13% protien is a pretty big change

I'm using the NB Reduced Calorie and finished the bag last night. I cut out the ingredients label and stuck it on the fridge. I believe, but don't quote me, they have 6 months to change the label.
