Chicken bones...

For one thing, the dogs go wild over it.  They love the taste of the cooked bones.  When I do a cooked-bone recipe, Cord will sit and lick and lick and lick and lick and lick his bowl for like ten minutes after it's all gone.

The second reason is that it creates a very close to balanced meal, especially if there's skin in there too.  For people who are squeamish about cookimg, it's a easy way to get started.

Third it uses kitchen waste responsibly instead of adding more to our landfills.  That appeals to the crunchy side of me.  Wink

I will have to try this next time my mom does chicken. My dad bought a crock pot so I will bookmark this recipe.
