And I think it was you that first provided us a link to the Great Dane Lady who participated or helped spread the results from the most extensive feeding trial, including bloodwork and a longer timeline, of Eagle Pack foods, especially as to how they work for Great Danes, a special dog of size and metabolism.

I'm missing something. Unless we're talking about how to get nutrition in the amount eaten. And I was just acknowledging your contribution to our awareness of the food and of special nutrition needs. FWIW, if Shadow's food didn't work out, my next brand would be Eagle Pack. It has a similar nutrient profile and he has eaten samples with success before. I don't know if you remember Schlep ( with the beautiful Golden Retriever) but I have met him twice at a dog event in our part of the state and he would give me samples.

We have found that EP is good for keeping weight on a dog that doesn't carry it well, though we prefer Orijen or Acana even to keep a normal dog nice and lean.

FWIW, no food is going to put muscle on a dog.  A food can be better at supporting muscle mass, but without exercise and a certain amount of resistance muscle will not be built in the first place.  EP Power will give a dog an extra boost of energy to get the job done.  Dogs training for and competing in races need that extra boost, but even the hard core sled dogs that train through summer go to a 'slower' food in the off season.

I wouldn't avoid corn either except that my big dog doesn't do well on it.  Onyx could eat steal shavings and be fine, Crusher, not so much.
