Raw and Kibble..

And it figures.. I go to take a picture of Maze's ears and the camera dies! Thank doG for neighbors.. Lol..I'm going to send Callie an email tonight. She gave me a couple suggestions for Maze's ear infections as well so I don't know why I never thought to ask her.

I have not had time to read this entire thread, but thought I would throw something out there about mixing kibble and raw . . . .

I have been feeding winston both kibble and NV raw medallions together for nearly a year now with no ill effects. He actually does worse on just plain kibble at this point and will not touch plain dry food unless he's famished.

With the medallions, do you just thaw them out and put them in the food dish?

We thaw them out, and stuff a kong with them at my house :) BUT if they're for a 'meal' I put them on a paper plate (I have a slight raw meat phobia...) and Mr. Prissy pants likes it chopped into four pieces.

I feed my dogs raw frozen. I don't like to touch thawed out raw meat *shudder*. Plus it takes them longer the chew up the frozen stuff.

I regularly feed raw and kibble in the same meal. They still have the same poop consistency and times as when i feed them separately.

Ella gets kibble and frozen kongs with raw meats in them, daily.

She has had NO digest issues at all with that.

Hmm.. Thanks for all the advice! Next time I buy her food, I'm going to pick up some of the N.V at the pet store. If she likes it, I may just keep up with it.
