Okay, my friend just started feeding the Nature's Variety Medallions to her little dog (a chihuahua/peke mix)...and after the dog eats them, she seems like she needs to throw up or is feeling slightly queasy. She starts licking her lips the way dogs do when they're about to throw up, and also stands kind of funny like she might need to throw up, but she hasn't actually thrown up. Unless she does a little bit in her mouth...? In any case, there's no major vomiting, and there don't seem to be any other evident symptoms or problems either. In fact, she acts pretty normal otherwise and is just as playful and active as she would be any other time, so she doesn't seem to be feeling too horrible. Is this a food intolerance? Do you think the medallions could simply be too rich for the dog? I think my friend is using the venison kind, but I'm not positive, I'll have to ask her again.
I've been using the medallions on my dogs and love them, but maybe her dog just can't tolerate them... Any opinions? Thanks for the help!
