I thought that garlic was toxic to dogs?

Garlic in moderation is fine for dogs,infact it is a healthy addition.Many people use it in place of chemical flea meds as it repels fleas.

My dogs get garlic in some of the recipe's/treats i cook for them.I also give them garlic&fenugreek tablets.

I would think especially garlic that is cooked is better for dogs, as is in the recipe.

I tried the Chicken Soup food for my dog. On paper it's quite a good food, but incredibly bland and my dog refused to eat it. I've found Eagle Pack to be a superior food in quality for a similar price (plus they have a rebate where every 10th bag you get 1 free) and it is much more palatable - my dog loves it!

The only problem that I know of with CS, and this may be why Arndt moved it down the list, was that at a certain point last year they started using menadione (synthetic vit K), but if I'm not mistaken they then switched back to not using it.

CS Senior for my 13 year old GSD.

I have to add meat and other stuff, otherwise he is not so willing to eat it.

I know the cat food is very bland and I've heard lots of people say the same about the dog food. I think Chicken Soup is a great food for dogs that aren't that picky. If you can get them to eat it, the ingredients are great!
