A Poster Deleting Her Posts

It's one thing coming in and editing a post or deleting it because you think it's in error, but doing it habitually and then putting these smileys [8D][:@]  and the dunce one in their place- that sends a message too.

I finally figured out the ignore feature, so that's done. I apologize for my catty attitude, it's been a crappy day! Bleh.
    Tomorrow's a new day.

yeah you know that brings up a very good point.

these little smiley faces are really cute when used in the right way, but are they a pain in the you know what when people use them instead of words.   There is NOTHING that makes me madder than that!

I kind of liked the old way - if you deleted a post the whole thing just disappeared and nobody ever knew a post was there.  That seemed to make more sense.

another way and quick to "quote" is to just highlight the text you want to quote and hit the reply button...the forum puts it right there for you

As Jaime said, those of us who get notifications KNOW whats been said even after it's been deleted.  I could go away for a week and come home and get all the juicy details of every battle I missed without ever going to the forum!

While we're on the topic of how to use the quote function, can anyone tell me how to post a nice-looking link?
I knew how on the old board, but it didn't work on this one.
I'd like it to pop  open in a new window, too...

Stacy, I can't answer your link question but I just took a look at your website.  [sm=wink2.gif]  I love your home page.  Whenever a "should I breed my dog?" topic comes up we should just link to your site.

    Wow, Jaime, that was easy.

Stacy, your pups are WAY cute.  By any chance will you be showing your girl in Rhode Island later this month(easter weekend). I noticed you said she would be starting her show career in April and you're from RI.  My mom and I going to cheer on another friend who is showing thier pointer in that show.

I really don't care if anyone deletes their posts.. perhaps they had a change of heart, or decided not to feed the fire anymore. What I do find annoying and childish is the ones who take the trouble to tell everyone what that deleted post said anyway. Not all of us get email notification and some of us don't want to get into the debates, but they can easily be egged on by doing things like that.

If a person deletes a post, they did it for a reason, so why would anyone feel the need to take it upon themselves to 'tattle' on what was said originally?

Yes!  we'll be at the Providence County Kennel club shows on April 15th, 16th and 17th.  Her name is Cam's Lucille's a Ball of Starsen.  Look us up in the catologue and it'll tell you which ring we'll be in and what time.

    It's a small world, isn't it?!
