Anyone feed/fed Monica Segal's raw diet?

I've been doing pretty well controlling it myself, and immunotherapy scares me for some reason. People can tell me it's safe all they want, but my gut tells me otherwise. Not to say I blame you for doing it, I just can't see myself doing it.

For Jessie, immunotherapy was much safer than being on antibiotics almost continually because of skin and ear infections; that's how bad it was for several months before she was tested. She had three e-vet visits because of her allergies; 2 of the instances were life threatening. I had tried three antihistamines, many natural supplements such as Moducare and AOX/PLX, baths, etc., but nothing helped. She tested very high on the blood test; 150 or over is significant and she tested 1000 or higher on several pollens and some household allergens. One thing you can try with Cherokee for the feet is to make some strong black tea and put it on her feet a couple times a day; you can do this with a spray bottle, squeeze bottle, or just dipping her feet in it; this has been suggested by Callie and those who have tried it have found it has helped. Also, if you make a 50-50 solution of Selsun Blue and water, work up a lather on the feet, and leave it on for about 15 minutes before rinsing that is very effective for yeast.
You and Chaza really seem to know your stuff when it comes to formulating your dog's diet; I don't think I could it without a recipe to follow.

God, that sounds awful.. I know how bad it gets with Cherokee sometimes, but it sounds like Jessie was a lot worse. Like I said, I totally understand why you would do immunotherapy, I just have issues with injecting anything, including routine vaccines, and just couldn't imagine injecting Cherokee with anything weekly, or even monthly.

Oh yes, we've gotten a lot of use out of tea. When Cherokee's allergies were really out of control, Callie helped me tons, and tea was one of the first things suggested. But thank you so much for telling me. [:)]

I'm trying now, but I've never really done it without a recipe as at least a base. I used Glenda's recipe for a while, and then kind of just did my own thing, but still with Glenda's recipe in mind. Now I'm attempting to go off and formulate my own diet. We'll see how that goes... [;)]
