What is the worst dog food in existence?

Dont get me wrong,i look to her website for everything, but when i link on other, maybe more sceptical boards, who demand scientific resources, she is not taken seriously [&:] I got ribbed for weeks because of her statement "Home of ontario veterinary college".

    Edie,
Are these people are aware that  The University of Guelph Veterinary College (OVC) with the motto "Home of the ontario veterinary college" is the oldest veterinary college in Canada and the United States, OVC has been educating veterinarians since 1862 .  Are ;people knocking the college because it is Canadian? I do believe they are the leaders in veterinary education.

Cally on Lilians cv it comes across as she studied at guelph, which is situated in Canada, the home of the Ontario vet college. She didnt actually study at the Ontario vet college, did she, just in the same state in which it is situated? Now i'm confused?[:-]

They're big beef is that she has no letters behind her name,so she's not taken seriously [&o]

The forum i'm talking about isnt American,so being in Canada would'nt have anything to do with anything [;)]

I must reiterate that i highly respect Lilian and her work.

I found it!!  Here ya go.  Nutro Ultra - what I feed - scored 104 A+.   Purina Beneful 17 F.

    3) If the food contains BHA, BHT, or ethoxyquin, subtract 10 points

I hope you subtracted 10 points for the hidden ethoxyquin they don't list on their bag... This is one reason I no longer feed it (wet and bought Canidae the day after I found out). For another, Eevee started having soft stools, and got fatter. >X.x;<

Edie, [:D]  I just wanted to go over Mordanna's website once more on her education.
Cally on Lilians cv it comes across as she studied at guelph, which is situated in Canada, the home of the Ontario vet college. She didnt actually study at the Ontario vet college, did she, just in the same state in which it is situated? Now i'm confused?

Sabine earned her certification in Animal Care from the University of Guelph, home of the Ontario Veterinary College.

This cannot be more clear that she studied at the University of Guelph which is the Vet College in Guelph Ontario Canada.  This is taken directly off her website, so unless people are not reading it right or only zooming in on one sentence I don't see how they couldn't read this properly[:D]  They do teach many other majors at the University of Guelph, but, a Vet major is what they are famous for...so "home of the Ontario Vet College" is the motto of the University.

Anyway, I too really respect Mordanna and personally I have learned more from her than any other credited person out there.  I see people with credentials out their ying yang that give bad advise every day.  I believe in research and common sense and studies of biology (which Mordanna has) to understand what they are researching.

Anyhow Edie, I was not trying to be argumentive...[:D]  I really enjoy your posts and find you are a very educated interesting read.

    One last thing
They're big beef is that she has no letters behind her name,so she's not taken seriously

So basically they will not take Mordanna seriously, yet they would probably take a dog breeder who shows their dogs seriously.  When in fact most breeders do not have any studies in genetics or husbandry...and the kennel clubs show their obvious narrow mindness at genetics as well.  I can't think of another money market scam as dangerous as purebred show dog breeders.  People think that because they can get a championship title on a dog that they have credentials....which is silly because getting a Championship title on a dog is very easy.  I certainly don't take breeders seriously and we are entrusting the future genes of our dogs to people who are narrow minded enough to continue inbreeding & creating new and more dangerous genetic diseases every year, health clearances don't get rid of genetic ill health, it gets rid of that "one" and creates several more...now, that is a scam and people have blinders on their eyes and refuse to see the dangers.[&o]

I like Mordanna. She pointed out that tomato pomace is actually helpful and it caused her to change some of her tune, much to the dismay of some that are not as well-educated as she is.
    Welcome ...to the dark side...

and she's pro fiber (ack! fillers) too, which I was impressed with. She's got some solid info, and it doesn't have the "well I think this" personal bias that a lot of websites have.

I cannot believe you, of all people, would even deal with THAT kind of attitude.
I would think you'd have called them out on that BS by now, since all of us here KNOW better[:D]

I know a person that breeds Border collies that feeds SD and beneful. Another that feed Tuffy's Premium Gold (to her thats the "food that comes in them 50 pound sacks that don't cost me pretty penny"). They're both holders of Champions, OTCh's, MACHs....

So when they say their dogs wouldnt be winning if they were unhealthy, what the hell do i say in retaliation??!! One of the biggest sqwaukers over there feeds pedigree and some other no name crap brand and yet raves on at every chance she gets how her progenies are winning everything. However, lately alot of posts have been popping up from her re: her sick dogs,it seems every one of them is coming down with something. But alas "just old age" ANYTHING but the garbage she's been pumping into them for years [8|]

LOL i've tried...with all of my might, and am afraid i have failed.... [&o]

Edie, sometimes it's best to say nothing at all, just sit back and enjoy your dogs' healthy and productive teen years while these people retire their dogs at 10, 9, 8 (not giant breeds). It's a shame for the dogs, but you can't MAKE people feed better. I've gotten a lot of converts by example, however - my Maggie is a great testimonial to a life of holistic nutrition, and now Doug the Dog is getting up there, still active and working professionally at seven plus years with mild CHD and an old hip injury. Even Ben's pretty amazing, eleven years old and still can put in a good stint of work and he came to the table with the deck clearly stacked against him genetically.

My partner works her dogs well into their teens, and has for twenty-five years, four generations (now five) of her own breeding.

Many people I hear of are retiring BCs before they are ten, even. I don't know what's happening but I'm going to do my best not to be a part of it! [:o]
