They have a duck and salmon formula.

I looked at the so called Duck & Salmon.  The ingredient list would seem to dictate a different name however.

The first 5 ingredients  Duck Meal, Millet, Chicken Meal, Chicken Fat, Salmon Meal

Yep, I noticed that too.  I wouldn't recommend their foods for dogs with allergies.  Stool inconsistancy problems, yes.

the crabs are going on 3, 4, and 6 years respectively,

I also have hermit crabs and I feed them only organic and tons of variety. I just lost my tennis ball sized Strawberry crab last night. I have no idea why..she has been acting normally, eating etc. Maybe just old age..she was around 30 years old..she will be missed =(

As for my dogs..they also get tons of variety. I feed raw mostly and occasionally a kibble or canned meal. I use different brands of prepared raw, and make my own. I believe variety is key to wellness.

I haven't cracked my Nature's Logic bag yet but how long have you fed it and are you saying stools are inconsistent?  is that due to supplemental food or the kibble you think?

Zoe's breakfast stays pretty much consistent (Innova small bites) but we rotate canned foods for dinner.  On any given night she will get either Wellness, Innova, Natural Balance or Solid Gold canned, and I also rotate the flavors amongst the different brands.  Zoe get's bored easily, so this keeps things interesting.

Noooo, until I would recommend Nature's Logic for stool inconsistancy problems.  Joey has always had pooh problems - either constipated or greasy slimmy stools.  This is the first food I havent had these problems.  It has 18 different probiotics in the food to ensure that the dog abosorbs all the of the whole food vitamins and minerals.

And the cloudiness in his eyes disappeared and, because of the probiotics, I haven't had to clean his teeth in a month.

I am thrilled with Nature's Logic.

I don't have time to write much, just wanted to say WOW, I had no idea hermit crabs could live so long!! Maisey, I'm really sorry for your loss. [:(] Sounds like you gave that crabby a great life!

I used to not rotate, I believe that contributed to Sally's chicken allergy.  I will rotate in the future

I don't think that if you're feeding kibble it's vital to switch kibbles all the time. I mean, it's nice to give the dog a variety for taste, but if you're feeding kibble then your dog is mainly getting all the vitamin he/she needs.
I think it's important to add variety though, when feeding raw because when feeding raw you're having to do all the supplementation on your own so it's important to make sure that your dog is getting all the vitamins and minerals he/she needs.
