Quick question (Callie)

A lot of the super cheap pet foods aren't really all that bad.  I have a good friend up in Crescent City who has rescued many a dog over the years who was wandering out on the road on on Hwy. 101.  She always takes them to the vet, gets them checked out, gets them vaccinated ... and since that's pretty expensive she feeds them Ol' Roy.  They have all lived long, happy lives and done well on it.

The shelter I got Gretschen from uses Pedigree as the base food and then if anyone donates anything else they mix it with that so the dogs dont have an digestive problems.  They do the same with Cat Chow for the cats.

*smile* I had Davey read this (he went to PetSmart and then we both went down to the SPCA with Luner B and Stinkerbell! LOL).  He heard the Purina One loud and clear and bought the store out.  Looks like they had some good response today and boy was it busy!!

Thanks everbuddy!! I really do appreciate it!!

I recommend 'Bonnie' (made by Purina, though you cannot buy it from the 'shops', only pet food stores), as a kibble but i am unsure if you can buy it where you are?

It costs about $50-$60 for a 20kg bag and it's the only thing that'll keep weight on my husky girl and I am also feeding it to my pointer.

With cat food I only get 'friskies' same thing, only thing that'll keep weight on my cats, pretty sure that is made by Purina too.
