Gassy Dog-Food help?

 Yeah he's 7 months and I'm confused, I thought puppies shouldn't be on grain free diets? Or did I mess that up. I read it on here I think but I forget what was said exactly. 

It has to do with the calcium & phosphorus ratio with grain frees being out of balance for growing pups.  But, FTR, Harry can't tolerate grains, and has been on grain free since he was 4 months old (a month after we adopted him), and his growth appears to be just fine.  Me, I took the chance with grain free rather than having him vomit after every meal and have diarrhea every day.

I think the grain free manufacturers are getting better about balancing these nutrients.  I know Champion (makers of Orijen & Acana) have addressed it in their white paper.

 I agree that there are many foods with better ingredients, but since this is a puppy it may be wise to chose a product that has done feeding trials. (JMO)
