Kaiser went back to the vet today. The flagyl/keflex/metacam combo didn't do too much. Now we're on cyclosporine with ketoconazole, more flagyl, and reglan. I'm supposed to bring him back in about 3 weeks to see if this is working-if it is we will stay on it until everything clears up. If it doesn't we've talked tail amputation, which i'm okay with. The other surgery i'm not okay with--essentially removing his rectum and making an opening with his large intestine. The problem here is that he would be incontinent of stool- forcing him to be an outside dog. I would not do that to Kaiser, he doesn't like being outside unless i'm there. Any good vibes are appreciated, i'm praying this medicine works.
