Poor Wyatt!

My boy can't catch a break! he has had 2 UTIs in the past couple of months, and now has an ear infection! His ear seemed to start bothering him yesterday. I didn't think it was a huge deal so made an appointment for wednesday. Bf called me while i was @ clinicals today and said he was crying, tilting his head sideways and it had large amount of brown pus (ew!). So, he went to the vet up the street as an urgent kind of thing. Vet said it was an ear infection, probably because of allergies. He has been eating healthwise chicken and oatmeal for about 2 months, so she suggested switching foods. So now he is on a steroid, an ear flush and antibiotic drops. I'm headed back to the dog bakery tomorrow to buy him some new food...my poor poor boy!

Oh Wyatt! Megan I wonder if it could be something he ate in his post birthday party raid that caused the 'allergic reaction'?

If you are trying a new food eliminate all chicken products including chicken fat if you can - looking at what you are currently feeding it is the chicken or the oatmeal and protein source is more likely. sorry for being obvious with that but all the other ingredients are common.

I did find that giving Bugsy some plain live yogurt has helped with his ears and allergies so that might help too
