Poor Emma Nems!

We went to a different vet, today, and he did a neuro exam. He proclaimed her "fine" and said to drop the dose, some more. He won't give me any other kind of medicine. *sigh* I went to the health food store, and bought her probiotics, pectin, some more good milk thistle, and some fish oil. I don't know what else to do, at this point...

Barring emergencies, the next vet she sees will be a TCVM vet. It'll be a couple of weeks, though, because I just don't have another zillion dollars for a thorough evaluation.

Jennie I am so sorry for you and poor Emma!  I hope that the lower dose and supplements help her to feel herself again Sad

I'm sorry this isn't working out the way you wanted it too.  I just thought I'd throw this out there but be careful with your supplements, sometimes they can do something that you'd want to avoid but didn't even think of.  For example, they told me to stop giving Willow fish oil because it effects the blood-I think they said it thins it??--different health issue but you get what I mean I'm sure.

Good luck with the holistic vet.

I asked both vets we went to about the supplements, and they both said it would be fine. The second said "the milk thistle won't do much for her liver, though". PFFT! I thanked him, and left. She does seem more lively, today, but she's been laying on the couch all day while I worked, and it's been 10 hours since her tiny dose. Hopefully, she stays lively! I like my dogs bouncing off the walls, pls.

He's wrong the milk thistle definately helps.  They also gave Willow something called Marin to take with it.
