So, I need a dryer (jennie_c_d)

    So, I need a dryer (jennie_c_d)

For my Ena Bean. She doesn't mind the stand dryer at the shop, because it's quiet, but.... I'm not hauling that thing to a dog show and using it outside an RV! I need something smaller. I used MY hair dryer on her, the one time I groomed her at home (can you say "hell" kids? Let's show groom the puppy with NO TABLE!), and she hated it.

I need something that's quiet-ish, doesn't cost five million dollars, is low volt, and blows both warm and cool air. It doesn't matter if it's a people dryer or a doggy dryer. It doesn't matter if it'll attach to a table or not (thought that would be nice). I have the clipper, the table, the product, blah blah blah. I just need to dry the brat. Otherwise, she'll be all crinkly and silly looking, especially that ridiculous tail plume she's got!

    Suggestions?

Anybody used that Crazy Pet dryer? I may order it, just because it's so inexpensive, and it comes with a stand (seriously, I'm helpless if I have to HOLD the dryer, LOL).

    Hey Jennie,

I've heard some few rave reviews of this lil' drier.  It doesn't draw a ton of power, is lightweight, and quiet.  From what I hear, anyway.Smile

EDIT:  Well, there's no price on there.  The one I saw in Ryan's Pet Supply was about $110.  Dunno what s/h is, the site isn't working on my 'puter right now.Stick out tongue

She actually doesn't have much hairWink I've never used a force dryer on her. I have a B-Air force dryer in my shop, and it's.... lacking. When you're drying Schipperkes, it's ok. When you try to dry a Husky or a Pyr, you end up sitting on the floor, next to the dog, begging it to dry, LOL.

LOL, I fail to see the dilemma.  You're not showing a Huskey or Pyr...why wouldn't it work?  An HV drier would straighten and fluff those furnishing a lot faster, don't you think?

Don't you have a mentor-type person, or a local kennel club?  They would know much more 'bout these things than we would...more than I would anyway.Smile

I have a mentor type person, LOL. She's totally not a groomer, though. She uses a regular hair dryer on her dogs, and sticks cotton balls in  their ears. I'm a big baby, though. I can't hold a dryer while I dry a dog. I'm spoiled!

I'm just going to have to stop being such a weenie, or buy a small dryer with a stand.

I've got 3 dryers and now covet one I don't have.

I've got that little crazy pet one with the stand. Garbage.

I've got an edemco variable stand dryer on wheels. AMAZING.

I've got that little portable metro -- excellent, but delicate for outside switches.

But the one I saw ... I want. It's the chris christensen one. SUPER quiet, fully variable, and portable. And if you catch them at one of the shows they have a grooming arm for it that is amazing and truly fully flexible.

I use a LOT of Christensen stuff. Thier shears make my hands smile. I use their shampoos, thick n thicker, all that silliness on the puppy.

Good to hear that the crazy dog thing is garbage. I figured it might be. I'm just going to use a regular hair dryer, at this show, but.... I've gotta figure out something else, LOL. Maybe somebody will be selling a little stand dryer, soon. That's what I really want.

OMG, the Christensen dryer makes me DROOL! I want one for my shop. It's soooo quiet. A Crested friend at the dog show had one, and I went to the Christensen booth and played with theirs. It's pretty awesome. It'd be plenty quiet to dry my brat with.

Of course, now I have to either figure out why I don't need the dryer that I have at the shop (it's loud and old and sucky! What else do I need? LOL) or save the money to buy one LOL

Well, there are several dog dryers available in market with which one can easily dry their dogs. Hence, I would recommend you to search onlne for best dog dryers at best price.
