I hope this post helps all those dog lovers who have watched their beloved pet suffer from ear infections.
My dog Madison, a golden retreiver, loves the water (as most do!) but was constantly experiencing chronic ear infections. Each time I would bring her to the Vet, and 150.00$ dollars later, I was walking out with ear cleaners and a huge Vet bill.
About a month ago, I came across several dogs playing on the beach in San Diego, wearing what is called the AQUABANDIT. Its a Neoprene band (like the wetsuit material) with an inner rubber seal that covers the dogs sensitive ears and attaches gently under their chin. The band helps to prevent water from entering the ear canal and other types of debris such as grass, sand, dust, and mites. (all of which can create havoc on the dogs ear canal) You can also use it when you give your dog a bath to keep water out of ears!
